The Crazy Frog spawned a worldwide hit single with a remix of "Axel F", which reached the number one spot in the UK, Australia, India, New Zealand and most of Europe. The subsequent album Crazy Frog Presents Crazy Hits and second single "Popcorn" also enjoyed worldwide chart success, and a second album entitled Crazy Frog Presents More Crazy Hits was released in 2006. The Crazy Frog has also spawned a range of merchandise and toys, and a video game, all of which were very popular for Christmas 2005. Negotiations are also underway for a TV series based on the character.

Peanut Butter Jelly Time is a Flash animation that emerged in the early 2000s. Based upon a song of the same name recorded by the Buckwheat Boyz, the best known version of the animation (usually distributed as a Flash clip) shows a heavily pixelated animated Dancing Banana (itself a well-known emoticon) moving back and forth to the song’s repetitive chorus. The original version was made by Ryan Gancenia Etrata and Kevin Flynn from a thread on OffTopic.com. In some versions of the animation the song’s lyrics are displayed on screen.

The Dancing Baby, also known as “Baby Cha-Cha”, is a video file of an animated, 3D-rendered baby dancing for several seconds. The video became popular in 1996-1997 after being distributed widely over the Internet. The dancing baby originated as a motion capture demo file for the 3D modeling program 3D Studio Max; it sometimes dances to the intro of Blue Swede’s cover of the song “Hooked on a Feeling (Ooga Chaka).” Several edited versions and parodies were created shortly thereafter, including a drunken baby and a Rasta Baby.
